Christopher Byrum
My son, Christopher Emmanuel Byrum, was born on 4/25/15. He passed away 90 minutes after birth due to a birth defect, Acrania/Anencephaly.
Although he did not meet the weight requirements to donate his organs, we were able to allow Living Legacy the opportunity to preform an educational, neonatal liver procurement surgery.
From Christopher’s gift of educational research, the procurement team was able to put together a specific set of tools to add in the speed and efficiency of the infant liver procurement process. This specialized set of tools was given the name “Christopher’s Pack” in honor of his gift of education.
